Board Ambassadors: Carrying the Mission to the Community
(Engaging the Board in Development without Trespassing or Fear)

This customized workshop will advance your organization's performance.
In Albion MI at Starr Commonwealth.

  •  Build pride among your Board and committee members in your agency’s accomplishments.
  • Identify the 60-second core message that conveys the essence of your agency’s community impact.
  • Suggest conversation starters about the agency based on stories of community impact told through individuals’ eyes.
  • Help Board members see opportunities to promote the agency among all their contacts—business and personal – because your funding comes from diverse sources (or should).
  • Protect Board members’ relationships from perceived trespass, yet enable them to reach out to all they know.
  • Identify what donors want to know about your community impact and your agency.
  • Map relationships for fundraising benefit.
  • Harvest appropriate information about current and prospective donors and use it to fashion relevant communications delivered through their preferred channels.
  • Engage in one-on-one conversations with prospective major donors to follow up on introductions gained through your Board Ambassadors and clues in your donor records.
